FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Who are they to judge the mind I'm
In?
The ashes of dust we call the stars
Grim.
There's a mental phantom choosing
Reality.
Something of illusion professing
Immortality.
These illusions fix the stranger in
Flesh.
With the mind's eye on anthropomorphic
Mesh.
What impressions did the mind first
Imprint.
To us this word of salvation has been
Sent.
