UNJUSTLY CONVICTED
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing this letter, with serious hopes and gratitude, that you or your firm can assist me with the wrongful conviction aspects of my case.
In July 2002, I was tried and convicted for the murder of my wife. I was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to 25 years to life.
Aside from swearing that I could not and did not kill my wife, I have strong facts to support my push for a wrongful conviction case. The prosecution’s case was based on purely circumstantial evidence. My trial lawyer was negligent and did not provide me with fair or competent representation.
He neglected to present new evidence or push for it to be introduced during my trial. My case has never been fully investigated. Additionally, there was also DNA evidence found, in my wife’s finger nail clippings, that was inconsistent with my DNA.
Because of the negligence of my lawyer I am facing the rest of my life in jail for a crime I did not commit.
Would you or your firm be interested in reviewing my case and defending me in a wrongful conviction?
Information and evidence relevant to my case can be found at my web site: www.iippi.org/inmates/newyork/manuelvega.html.
A private investigator is willing to handle my case as soon as I have legal assistant. My wife is my outside contact and when you write I will give you her information.
Thank you for any and all consideration.
Sincerely,
Manuel Vega
