Conviction of an innocent person is an affront to the rights we, as Americans expect from our criminal justice system. These were grossly violated in the case against me. The trust I upheld in our courts was stolen from me by an overzealous and unethical prosecuting attorney/judge who purposefully withheld evidence which exonerates me. This was not only done once, but 3 times as it required 3 trials to convict me of a crime I did not commit; this being assault with intent to kill while armed, (2) possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, (3) carrying a pistol without a license, (4) possession of an unregistered firearm, (5) possession of ammunition.
I am innocent, convicted not on physical evidence but on the testimony of a biased, unreliable witness who has changed their story numerous times and who has a history of lying to law enforcement. The physical evidence in the case against me does not exist as I was never involved in this crime. In fact several weeks after this “crime”, 2 individuals were arrested and later convicted of murder, in possession of a weapon which matched the ballistics for the crime I was falsely convicted of.
I make a plea for assistance from journalists, activists, attorneys, legal analysts, national correspondents etc who may be able to assist me in my quest for justice, to be heard, to overturn and exonerate an innocent man kept from his family for years by a system that targets men of color such as myself. I ask that you not solely take my word as an innocent person, but to investigate (the truth) the facts of this case which show that I am innocent. The pleas of an innocent man falsely convicted asking for any help I may receive for justice to be done.
