Tips For Writing Your Legal Ad
Keep your legal ad short and to the
point. It is good to touch briefly on any facts that could
aid your case, but lengthy ads are not recommended. Your ad
is designed to capture the viewer's attention and heart. You
are looking for help. There will be time to go into specific
detail later. This is your plea for help. Use your words wisely.
When writing to human rights groups
or attorneys, be sure to include the web address to your legal
ad. This will be provided to you when we send you your welcome
packet. You can place both legal and personal ads on our website.
A link from one to the other is always provided at no extra
charge.
For legal reasons, you cannot list people
by name in your legal ad. Again, this is all information which
can be exchanged through postal mail. You are welcome to use
initials of any party involved in your case when writing your
legal ad.
If possible, include a photo in your
legal ad. People always identify better with a person than
just a story. It helps to put a face with a cause.
