Tips For Writing Your Personal Ad

Laughter is the universal language, and your pen pals will relate. Incorporating some humor into your personal ad is strongly encouraged. It is much better to show that you can be funny rather than just saying it.

Describe what you would be interested in knowing about someone else. Don't make it too personal. This is the first letter. However, a few details on what you want to know about your new pen pals gives them some ideas for sending that first letter.

Don't start an ad off with "I'm seeking the love of my life". Many people have found the love of their life by using WriteAPrisoner.com. However, almost all started out seeking a friend instead of a soul mate. Pen pals are much more likely to respond to an ad seeking friendship than an ad seeking romance. Romance is something that develops after a good friendship is formed. You will limit your responses if you jump in with both feet on a purely romantic ad.

A picture is worth a thousand words! In our experience, this is the understatement of the millennium. A good photo is key. Select wisely. We do have many members without photos altogether, but we can honestly say that a good photo equals good results in most cases.
