So I have been corresponding with my pp for a few weeks doing it through jpay, although it seems not all emails are going through. We were discussing her current legal situation would this be something that would be stopped, some emails have gone through and some not. I have also sent two video grams neither have been received anyone else had this problem?

hey man, when I’m an attorney in two years I’ve got you :D

GalapagosDiver

Damn, IL PPP, you just made me feel like I got arrested Haha ;)

Just remember that anything and everything either of you say will always be on record and easily accesible should it ever need to be used in a court of law.

There's no real ryhme or reason to things with this.

There is often no real reason given as to why some correspondence is blocked.  Sometimes it also just comes down to something innocent like correctional email systems not working, mail getting lost.

I have actually been surprised at just what does get through.  I've had penpals talk about everything from people "walking off" to being attacked with locks in socks, to white pride.  Some of my prison penpals have even continued to get threatening harrassment from old associates on the outside - so clearly that shit is getting through somehow.

So all those shenanigans get through, and yet I've had two innocent postcards confiscated that I sent in an envelope with my letter.  Go figure Haha

That's the thing, sometimes you wont get a notice of why your mail was denied, but then I had the luck of writing to a fairly notorious scammer at one point in Chowchilla. It depends on how strict the mail room is and how they're feeling on the day... but in general unless they've decided to toss all thir appeals in, or you're their direct legal counsel, you shouldn't really be talking about their case. I think you worked somewhere in the prison system and probably saw the reality... The more you talk about it (particularly on a service where your conversations are recorded for all eternity) the more damage you can actually do if somehow one of your conversations ends up used as evidence.

I've only had a video denied and I got an email telling me as to why. I think Jpay is just having issues.

From what I’ve read on here there are a few problems with JPay anyway normally jpay will send you a notice to say it’s been denied.
