Two different penpals both are friends in the same jail.

Woman one has between 5 and 25 years she has told me she won't make parole if she still has fines left from her charge is this true? She has her first parole review in a few months and claims unless her $10k fines are paid she won't get it

Woman two claims the prsion will release inmates with none violent charges and under one year left only if they have no fines left to pay (she is friends with woman one above) as a safety precaution to avoid the spread of covid19.

This all smells like a scam to me, does anyone know if either statement is correct? If he prison is going to release inamtes due to covid 19 I can't see them only releasing the ones that don't have fines from their court cases this all smells like two women working a group to con me and others.

No idea. Tell them you re bankrupt and can t help out. See if they still around next week.
I think some jails and prisons ARE releasing people with minimal time left and were non violent, but I don t know if any unpaid fines come into it.

Let’s see… $10K in fines to be paid prior to release? If woman number one has a prison job that pays prison wages – let’s pencil-in $5/month for argument’s sake – that would work out to 166 years and change to pay it off, presuming she spends on nothing else.

For woman number two (and woman number one for that matter), I’ve never heard of fines being paid in full as a condition of release. Restitution does take place post-release, and you can find the details the judge ordered for same in the sentencing documents, e.g. so many dollars over so many years to (insert recipients here).

And what Anne Marie said.
