Dsampson But if you have already listed his profile and paid via the above link, it takes up to 8 days for the profile to be posted/go live on the site, and nowadays it can take even longer. Keep in mind that you won't get any kind of confirmation email or anything like that, so you will have to just keep checking back to see if the profile has been posted yet.

There's a light blue bar at the top of this page when you're logged in, go up to that bar and click on where it says 'My account' in the upper-right hand corner. Once there, click on the 'Your Transactions' tab. If everything went through alright, you will see a transaction that shows your friend's name and number and it will say it's for 'New profile.' If you click on his name and number (in blue) that shows on the transaction, you can see a sneak peak of the profile.

Once the profile has been posted to the site, you will find your friend under your 'Your Inmates' tab there. So know that once he's showing up in your Your Inmates tab, it's been posted.

I only reach out to the site once it's been a prolonged amount of time.

Hi,

excuse me, but I didn't quite get what you were saying. You did create him a profile and WAP doesn't have it listed on the site? That would not be too unusual, as even in pre-COVID times it could ve taken them a week.

Or was it just one of those who are actually not trying to get listed (read. don't have the $) and they just register a profile on the forums (like yours saying DSampson) and hope (wrongfully) that someone might get to them that way. the reson why this won't work, is simple: No one can click on any profile to see the addy. And if you pin it down, like in an answer to a thread, you probably still wouldn't get replies as there are many on here who do it by the book (read.pay for their profiles) and are still on the "needs mail list".

So, my own recommendation to a newbie would always be to check the "needs mail" section first, instead of just picking someone who didn't pay. Just for fairness to those who did.

Though, of course, I see, many don't have the $, but for those I'd recommend them to go to FB or craigslist and list someone on the free opportunities there.

Though there always seem to be more ppl who need penpals than those who write in , or different put: Mail is unevenly distributed, some get many responses, some none.

But here's the link on how to list someone on the site: https://writeaprisoner.com/inmate-new-listing

All the best,

Kirsten
