Hello everyone

A few months ago I started writing with my penpals via Jpay. Especially with my penpal from Ohio I hit it off. We frequently wrote extremely long letters to each other so they always took some time until they were approved. But after a month of not hearing back I wanted to check up on him and send him a Birthday message. To my horror I keep getting the same error message from the Jpay app and on the computer I see him as a contact but I can not send anything (the features disappeared). Did anyone experience something like that? Could it be that he has been released (he is still on this site though)? Or that something happened to him? Did he block me?

Another penpal from Michigan told me about being depressed. When I did not hear back from him I wanted to check up on him and the same thing happended with a different error message. I really worry about him. How could I check up on him?

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with what is going on.

Carmen163, I'm from the Netherlands too and not able to log in on JPay since a while. Can you explain me in Dutch how it works with that Tunnelbear? Alvast bedankt!!

If you're able to use JPay to write to some pen pals, but unable to write to them (after successfully logging on the JPay site) then maybe it's not a security issue with JPay, but something else?  When people in the Netherlands (or other European countries having similar issues) try to log in to JPay, are they able to? Or is the problem only when they are on JPay and unable to write to a particular pen pal on their JPay contacts list?

If you have three pen pals and can write to one on JPay but not the other two, then I'm confused about what is going on, but it sounds more likely to be an issue with your individual pen pals or with their individual facilities, not with JPay itself.

I would recommend sending a postal letter to your pen pals that you've been unable to reach on JPay, just as a means of checking on them and seeing what is up.  Postal letters should get through more easily than electronic communications.  If you want a faster method of sending snail mail than international post, I do reccommend Jmail.

I am very sorry Tunnelbear didn't work. You did try to get access through Germany, right? Because that is the only country I know that works like a charm. Other than that, I can't help you...

Unfortunately the Tunnelbear did not work =(

Thank you for your the tip, I will definitely try this! =D No, I am not from the Netherlands but from Switzerland.

Do I understand you correct that if I had the same problem as you I could not write to anyone? Because I have another penpal who receives my mail via Jpay without any problems...

Hello Carmen, I am not from Netherlands and I still can't access JPay without a VPN connection. I think there's a problem in many European countries, not Netherlands only....I really don't know what's going on, but it's weird!

Are you living in the Netherlands? Because there is a major problem with JPay in the Netherlands. They seem to have security issues, which means they shut the whole system down. The solution is fairly simple: you can download Tunnelbear, which is a free VPN. Through Tunnelbear you can acces Jpay via Germany.

If you are not from the Netherlands, I don't know what is going on. Hopefully someone else can help you than.
