Hello. My name is Alan - I am looking to meet new people with a positive outlook on life and the future. I grew up in North Pole, Alaska, where I enjoyed the adventures of Alaska's wilderness. My greatest passion is training rescued dogs. I started training rescues to be confident service companions in 2003 through a Prison Pet Partnership program in Arizona, where Alaska housed their prisoners. Upon returning to Alaska, I continued to train dogs until July 2022 when I transferred to a different facility. Although I miss my four-legged friends, this is a new chapter in life.
I enjoy studying politics with a focus on social justice movements, policy reform, and a vision for change. Throughout my incarceration, I have remained committed to educating myself in hope of release and a successful transition to society.
