I believe in order for an individual to grow they must first be willing to step out of their comfort zone and to stretch beyond their own personal boundaries. I've learned through personal experience that when we become so set on creating boundaries to keep people out, we unintentionally and inadvertently lock ourselves in.
So this is me attempting to knock down these walls I've put up, in order to live life as it is meant to be lived - free. I wouldn't say I am closed off but throughout this decade of incarceration I've learned to be cautious. With family and friends I'm an outgoing extrovert who is mindful, courteous, caring, quick to smile and laugh, and unafraid to express deep love, appreciation, and loyalty. With those I don't know, I may seem an introvert who is more reserved, preferring instead to be an observer in an attempt to analyze character. When interacting with others, I do my best to treat people with the respect that I myself would like to be treated with, having a humble open minded approach.
I'm far from perfect, but I believe in progression over over perfection, because only GOD himself is perfect. I would like to get to know new people, hear of new places, and to work on creating and building unexpected friendships, bringing more laughs to life.
In closing, " In a world with countless reasons to frown, I'd like to add to the reason we smile" God bless.
