Hello,
My name is Antowyn. For the last twenty years, I have been secluded from society, hidden away in a place where hope goes to die. And by all means, rightfully so, for my incarceration isn't due to some miscarriage of justice but rather a just end to one's abominable behavior. But through this time, I have been able to do the impossible, the unimaginable, the what one better not dare to mention: keep hope alive.
For without hope, life isn't worth living. It has been this hope that has propelled me from bed on those days when, if it wasn't for hope, surely I would have just lain still and died. This hope has allowed me to trudge down this road of redemption, picking up certificates as I go. Not to merely brag, but to offer as proof that I am not the same as I once was. This hope has me in college, working on a bachelor's degree in business, while at the same time enrolled in the Institute for Writers with the goal of becoming a published author.
Now, that all sounds good, I can hear the skeptic say. But what is it you are hoping for: freedom? Compassion? Friendship? Well, yes, for wouldn't I be lying if I said anything different?
