Hi,
I’m Chris. I’m reaching out to everyone from Idaho’s IDOC. My hopes are to meet many new friends during my time here. I am from California, was only passing through Idaho, and wrecked my car. I got 15 years for DUI. Since then, things haven’t seemed to get better, and now with the arrival of COVID-19, things are now at a crawl. It’s affected all of us one way or the other.
So, as you can very well guess, the pendulum of time turns slowly, tick-tock, tick-tock, long days with plenty of time for a man to contemplate his future or dwell on past mistakes or bad choices.
I spend my time playing chess, reading, and hobbies when they’re possible. Sports are a great pastime, watching or playing, but for us, outside recreation has not been often. I miss fresh air and the sun in my face, special things most people take for granted, like one’s freedom. Nothing like an epidemic to open one’s eyes to the little things life has to offer. For me, I can only grip tight to the positive side of my situation. Hope, faith, and love are what can make for a world with a better future. Hey, here’s my smile (smile.) Where’s yours?
Adios,
Chris
