Food For Thought
I read a study regarding scientists speaking life into certain plants and degrading others. The plants that had life spoken into them flourished in color, size, beauty and lived a little longer than their normal lifespan. Scientists soothingly expressed to the plants their purpose, their importance, and that they mattered. In short, the plants became the substance spoken into them. The plants that were treated with indifference, did not thrive in color, size or beauty. And they died much earlier than their normal lifespan. Harshly scientists scolded and informed the plants of their lack of value, their insignificance and that they were a waste of space. In short, the plants perished.
Wondering how much brighter would be the future if we spoke life into ourselves, into our relationships, into our children, into our parents, into our students, into our neighbors?
Words are powerful. They have the power to build and destroy. So, are you building or destroying?
