Greetings! First and foremost, I truly do appreciate you stopping right here on THIS profile, and for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself. But before we go any further, let me just

clarify something. I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea about why I am on Write A Prisoner, nor my intentions. With that being said, last, if you are hoping to find Mr. Right or anything more than friendship, then please stop reading THIS profile.

I’m not trying to be rude nor disrespectful about your feelings, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to have someone to love and love you back. Hell, I’m lonely my damn self! But being the man that I am, I have to be honest with myself and you and that’s that I can’t put any woman first in my life. When the time is right, one day I’ll be able to put the love of my life as my first priority. Every woman deserves to be number one in a man’s life, not second. Yeah, I’ll explain this statement.

In all truthfulness, an inmate’s first priority isn’t to get out to those who love him. Hell just getting the chance to be free isn’t an inmate’s first priority! It’s a prisoner’s first priority to hold on to his SANITY until he CAN be free and go home to his loved ones.

Me writing you right now and asking for the chance to show you the man that I’ve grown to be is my way of not just holding on to my sanity, but my hopes and dreams as well. And honestly ya’ll, love is hard to do and experience while one of you is in the situation that I am. No, it doesn’t get easier as time passes.

Years behind these walls is a form of “time” that I have to do. It’s this “time” that I don’t want you to have to share with me. So why write to me at all you ask?

I truly believe that everyone comes into our lives for a reason or for a season. Look, I want you to know that I do understand if you won’t be able to stick around. I’ll be thankful and blessed for whatever we can share as friends. All we can do is let our friendship be whatever we need it to be. If you need to vent, then let me be the one you vent to. All I ask is that you be patient with me.

I say patient because I know these words might give the impression that I got it all together, have all the right answers and seem like a wise man. Well, you know what? I am all those things! :) but honestly, all I know is prison life. I’m a prisoner ya’ll, I’ve been in this environment since I was 17 years old. 24 years and counting. I’ve had to learn about myself and life while living as just a number. Real talk everybody – I truly believe that I need you more than you need me. I need your help to see and experience life beyond these walls. I need you to show me the world through your eyes. I need your help to hold on to my sanity. So patience is something that is important when having a friendship with me.

Before I close, let me say this.

I’m not looking to have a friendship with a certain “Type”. It doesn’t matter your pant size, age, weight, race, sexuality, profession, political views or religious beliefs. Don’t stress about your past (Your past doesn’t define who you are).Hell, I’m not concerned about how many baby daddies you have! I want to get to know who YOU are as a person. All I ask is that you be the person you KNOW you are at heart. I just want someone in my life that can stand the rain.

So if you have time to spare on a new friendship, then please let me prove I’m worthy of your time and a place in your life.

Thank you for spending time with me today, hope we can spend some more time to get to know one another. Have a great day. And for what it’s worth, I do hope that you find the one that makes you smile – whether that person be on THIS side of the fence or on yours…

"If you do use JPay to contact me, please be sure that your mailing address is in the body of the message or I won’t be able to write you back!”
