I’ve swam across oceans until I almost drowned,
I've climbed mountains until my thumbs bruised.
I've walked across deserts until my knees buckled;
but when I turned around you were nowhere to be found.
I thought you would light my path
so that I wouldn't stumble on my very own heartbreak
but I was wrong.
Tears now flow like waterfalls
only for my soul to cry out
I am alone on this ship
because I've searched for love but was never able to find it.
Where does it hide?
