LOVE
Love is not natural
Not like anything else we know
That's why it takes work
To make Love show
Putting someone else
in-front of yourself
Giving the poor
All of your wealth
Singing to a Child
Who can't fall asleep
Comforting a friend
When they weep
Giving your time
In selfless service
Befriending the lonely
Even if it makes you nervous
Sacrificing your energy
To give others power
Being their for them
In their darkest hour
We do these out of Love
For the sake of others
Because in Heaven
We're Sisters and Brothers
When you love someone
Their mood changes yours
So do your best
When it's sunny or it pours
True love is real
Even if it's not physical
and when you find it
It is truly mystical
You'll know when it's true
It's impossible to mistake
like going down a hill
and missing a brake
The act of Love
is really quite odd
Because it's not ours
It comes from God.
