Distractions clouding my mind, tears rain on my vision/
Trying to keep it together, but I feel like something is missing/
How significant a feeling, to feel so insignificant/
Certified one hundred, body full of certificates/
Stars and scars, each telling a story/
Time and opportunities sacrificed, no regrets but plenty of worries/
The clock keeps ticking, the world keeps spinning/
I continue to fade, adversity steadily winning/
My adversaries grinning, laughing at my decline/
No room for me in memory, out of sight so I’m out of mind/
Dreams are a relief, my temporary escape/
Disappointments over blessings, tampering with my faith/
Living in sin but praying for blessings, asking the same questions/
The most common one being, Why? The obvious answer being, “Transgressions”/
Denial from the simplicity, I continue this crooked path/
Walking alone, so alone, no fear for the aftermath/
