A Good Man I Am
My name is James Keith Sardin, many call me by the names of Keith or Malik (ma-leek) which in Arabic means “King” and it is self-explanatory. I want women to know that I am a good man in search of my soul mate.
Speaking only for myself, underneath this bravado and thick skin lies a kind and loving heart that is unique. A short time ago I spoke to a childhood friend of mine by phone and what she said disturbed me deeply. She said that all men are the same in that they cheat, lie, and will say anything to get to third base. Personally, I am a “home run” type of guy and leaders don't stand on bases.
These past 30 years of praying and soul searching I have come to the realization that my impact on others should always be uplifting and inspiring. Many Black men have been raised by a strong Black woman without the luxury of having a father figure present in their lives. Unfortunately, I was also raised in a dysfunctional family and I give women the utmost respect thanks to Mom's upbringing.
I was very protective over my beloved mother. I knew that she had been abused verbally and physically for many years although I tried to sweep it under the rug. Mom passed away in 2004 and I never got the opportunity to thank her for all she has done for me and to tell her that I love her to the moon and back. It is because of her, that I am a good man to this day. I love you Mom, rest in power. And for my future woman, this good man awaits you.
