Hi, my name is John Marquard. I was born into a U.S. Air Force family and spent my first five years in Germany where my dad was stationed. When my father left the military we moved back to the United States where we settled down in North Carolina. Except for a few excursions that’s pretty much where I grew up. When I was eighteen I decided to see the country and did so on a motorcycle. I went to just about every state but never stayed long enough to really absorb any of the culture of any one place.
Now I’m on Death Row and been here for a while.
I’m looking for friendships. Something substantial, and real. I have varied interests and enjoy learning new things. Being in a cell almost twenty four hours a day, week after week, year after year can really wear a person down.
