Greetings,

My name is John E. Mitchell. I am looking forward to meeting good people who can help me navigate through these trying times, both in prison and in the free world. I am a nonviolent three-striker, and I received an 85-to-life sentence from a court in Pasadena, California, which is my birthplace.

I consider myself an unlicensed civil rights litigator and activist. I have represented myself in a Section 1983 Civil Rights Complaint. In addition, I've had to represent myself in a civil rights action against individuals who violated my rights while I've been incarcerated. In fact, I am currently prosecuting four separate civil rights complaints in the United States District Court for both the Eastern and Southern Districts of California. I have become passionate in my quest to obtain justice not only for myself but also for those who don't know how to assert their rights or have mental deficiencies that prevent them from doing so. As a result, I believe I am still being held as a nonviolent offender serving three consecutive life sentences for property crimes. I will not give up, and I have not wavered.

I love motorcycles, dirt bikes, hotrods, classic cars, and all things related to extreme sports. I visualize my freedom after 30 years of incarceration, and I look forward to camping and hiking from a tiny home or Airstream trailer. I've never been married, and I have no children. I listen to all types of music, but mostly root reggae, dub reggae, jazz, old school, oldies, and rap.
