Meet Khalil:

YOU WON'T BELIEVE MY STORY! 19 years ago I WALKED IN the police station, and I haven't seen freedom since. My name is Khalil. I'm Lebanese. I live a clean lifestyle. I enjoy playing soccer, working out, learning new things... and I love music. I have a twisted sense of humor, but I'm also verrry deep. I'm a smarta**. and smart too! I earned a couple degrees from prison and I am working on a Bachelor's now. I kinda got my shh together... minus the whole prison thing. LOL

I'm man-scaped smooth, a man in uniform, I live in a gated community, I've never been married, I don't have any kids, and I should be home in less than a year! I make bad look good! My life was getting good. Raised by my struggling mother, at 18, I moved in with my dad, and went from low income to traveling the world... island hopping the Caribbean, club hopping in Europe, snowboarding at the best mountain resorts, fast cars, motorcycles, flight school(my dream was to be a fighter pilot),...I had it all! Fast forward a couple years... lied on for money, dirty cops, lie detectors, jailhouse snitches, confessions, the news running wild, high profile case, wrongfully convicted, maximum security, sentenced to decades! Prince... To Prisoner!

Prison is a brutal circus! 1,700 killers, serial killers, dope fiends, crackheads, drunks, pedophiles, schizophrenic and mental patients, old gangsters in wheelchairs. predator prisoner pirates looking for booty,. . all in one cage! With snakes and rats everywhere! It's a zoo of animals, a drunken frat house, insane asylum, fight club Gladiator school! There's so much pent up aggression, we keep our shoes on. It can pop at any second. They sell us mouthpieces... So we can earn our respect without losing our teeth. LOL

Thank God I boxed as a kid! You wouldn't believe the shh I've seen! Knife fights over breakfast, foreheads split open with padlocks, skulls crushed with pool balls, faces bitten off, faces melted off, faces sliced open with razors...and much more! Some take knives to the toilet! I make it sound funny, probably because I'm desensitized to it, but its savage survival of the fittest! And it's all I've known, for most my life. But should I know it???  I was no angel, but I would never do what they convicted me of. I had no idea my brother-in-law would shoot out of the car I was driving. Hours later I learned someone was hurt... walked in the police station!

My brother- in-law fled to Lebanon. He was arrested he confessed, and he was  convicted there (they claimed jurisdiction because both parties were Lebanese citizens). I willingly took and passed two lie detectors! Both confirmed I did not shoot, and I had no idea anyone would (tests and results on my SM).

Immediately after the incident, two passengers called 911. Both were asked twice "Who shot?" Both responded twice, "I don't know." The first officers on the scene asked the four of them... and not one of them mention my name! But knowing I was driving, that my father was wealthy, and believing some family assets were in my name, they later changed their statements to file lawsuits. One "witness" (now suing) had his girlfriend write a statement claiming she was there and seen me do it. At trial, he couldn't even identify me! Right in front of him!! And she admitted she'd lied, that he told her what to write, and that she was never really there!

My lawyer, a retired judge, and a stenographer flew to Lebanon and recorded my brother-in-law's confession... in the jail! My judge admitted his confession, and the testimonies of the retired judge and stenographer into evidence. The prosecutor got it all excluded! To build their case, crooked cops made a deal with a career jailhouse snitch. They offered him, if he lied and testified that he heard me bragging I did it (within hours of me walking in!), they would drop his charges and let him go. So he wrote a statement. Then when trial was approaching, he tried to evade the cops and having to testify. They eventually found him, arrested him, and held him in jail until he lied!

The prosecution then tried to claim it was over a girl! That girl testified and disproved their theory! Now it gets crazy...during my trial the IRS raided my father's business and charged him with tax evasion. They claimed he skimmed insane money. The news went wild! My judge instructed the jury not to watch the news (that's like screaming, watch it!), and many admitted they'd watched. The news ran lies like, "there could be links to terrorism, his son is on trial for murder, and the two cases may be related." Like WTH?
Seriously? And that's not all of it. It's literally common knowledge in the streets that I didn't do it. Even the victim's family knows it wasn't me. They've even petitioned for my release! But the system won't admit wrongdoing. That's how corrupt it can be.

But don't feel bad for me. I'm not the real victim, many have been screwed by our system, and at least I gained something priceless. I'll try to explain. They say pain purifies, cleanses the soul, evokes empathy, and there's no pleasure without pain. Gibran writes, "The deeper sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”

Sorrow had carved deep!! Deeper than deep!! It left me with scars you can't see, but in the end, it made me deep. Decades in hyper violence heightened my sense of awareness. From having so much, to losing it all, gave value the smallest simplest things in life. I notice, feel, and appreciate things most people can't, or they just take for granted. I see the world from a special angle, and I'm thankful for all I've been through! It makes everything else easy!

My perspective and attitude dictates my joy or misery. They can take everything.. even decades! But some things can't be taken, they can only be given. I don't give away my happiness anymore!! You don't know what you're capable of until your limits are pushed and tested. Or what gifts may come from your pain and loss. If I can do this, then you can make it through your difficulties.

Wanna know the rest of my story? How being starved for months in isolation changed everything? How I conquered my pain and found peace? How I came to master this, and live stress free, happy, at sports camp? My deeper shades and dreams? You'll have to write.

I hope to connect with REAL people, and make meaningful friendships. Now if you read all this (you did!), you officially know way too much about me, for me not to know anything about you! Email me at Jpay.com, Khalil Chahine, DOC #534769 (Michigan).
