I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out and share my story with you. I have spent the past 26 years serving a life sentence for a non-homicide crime, and now I am seeking support as I work towards having my sentence commuted by the Michigan Parole Board and Governor's Office.

My family in Las Vegas has graciously offered me residence and employment once I am released; given your support, I can make significant progress toward achieving my goals.

Recently, I sought legal advice from an attorney, who reviewed my trial and appeal. His humble opinion concluded that a compelling argument could be made for my innocence, suggesting that I was a victim of police/prosecutor misconduct and deprived of my right to practical assistance of counsel. However, Spolin did not recommend other appeals due to the passage of time since my conviction and my previous attempts at seeking post-conviction relief. My attorney recommends that I focus my efforts on pursuing commutation instead.

Before my incarceration, I was a productive community member dedicated to my family. I take pride in being a loving father to my two daughters and a stepfather to two more. I had consistent employment at I.T.T. Automotive Plant, where I assembled Chrysler L.H.S. seats, and I also worked at Oven Fresh. While in custody, I remained committed to self-improvement and education. I earned my G.E.D. and actively participated in various self-help courses, including Christian Correspondence Financial, Entrepreneurial, Ethics & Empathy programs. I completed classes on managing anger, fatherhood, mathematics, and self-esteem and served as an educational tutor. I even obtained certifications in Custodial Maintenance and Blood Borne Pathogens.
