Hello, My name is Matthew.
Most people who know me would describe me as a confident and independent individual. While that is mostly true, I tend to think of myself as having a sensitive and somewhat shy side. I'm very adventurous and some might say I’m well traveled, however, there are still so many places I have yet to see. One of my dreams is to sail around the world exploring amazing destinations along the way.
I love the outdoors; hiking, camping, boating, skiing, and more. Other interests of mine include photography, architectural design, interior design, a good bottle of red wine, and spending time with friends and family. I’ve been incarcerated for about 5 years now and like most, I have good days and bad days. Regardless of the circumstances, I have a positive outlook on life and the future. I
'm currently at a working camp in Carson City and since being here I have honestly had some pretty amazing experiences. I've worked for the Nevada Department of Forestry for two years. I learned about forestry and fighting wildland fires, I've flown in a helicopter, been interviewed on the news, and helped fight the Mendocino complex fires in California. There were always new things to learn and never a shortage of laughter and camaraderie. I left that job to work with and train wild horses.
I'm currently working at the Nevada license plate factory and helping out in the kitchen at camp until fire season starts again. I spend my free time working out, watching some T.V., and reading self-help/motivational books. I'm interested in meeting like-minded individuals, perhaps with similar interests. We all have bad days and having people to share the good and the bad with makes this world feel a little less lonely. I don't have any expectations if nothing more than just networking and meeting new and interesting people.
If any of this interests you or you care to know more about me, please send me a letter, I'm more than happy to write back.
Pictures are always appreciated to put a face to a name, but not an absolute must.
