Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future.
My name is Pete Mentor, I am 5’9”, 200 pounds, nice build, dark skin, handsome. I was born in the Caribbean Island of Haiti, been here since I was young. I am bilingual; I speak Creole, French, English my third language.
Couple words describing me would be down to earth, loving and caring. I caught this charge in 2016. Finally hit my rock bottom feeling trapped in the past and wanted to make a difference in this world righting my wrong while incarcerated, I started this program called XII Seeds; basically the harvest you reap will depend on the seeds you plant. The judge liked the idea and dropped my bail. I had posted bail, went home and started doing the right thing, spreading awareness about drugs, crimes, gangs and lifestyle. Unfortunately, I got sentenced. So now I am back finishing my time.
I am a single father with a 1 year old son and looking forward to being a role model in his life. I am using this time to write my autobiography hopefully someone can learn from my mistakes, turning wounds into wisdom. There are actually untold blessings hidden within every mistake. Shut off from the outside world makes this time difficult not having that spiritual someone that I can talk to, sharing ideas or vent when it gets overwhelming.
Thank you for reading this, I am actually elated writing this letter giving me something to look forward to.
