My name is Randall Emerson. I'm 48 years of age, in search of building new friendships and meeting new people. I'm incarcerated for assault with intent to murder, a crime that happened when I was 16 years old. It's important that I say I am not the person I was when I committed my crimes, and I am remorseful. I believe nothing happens accidentally; the law of the universe governs all events.

I was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan. I have no children. At the time this was written, I have about 2 years until my release date. Since I've been in prison, I've earned a G.E.D., certifications in custodial maintenance and airborne pathology, barbering, and culinary arts. I've also earned credits towards an associate degree in business management.

I enjoy reading, including poetry, philosophy, religion, and as of late, metaphysics. As far as religion, I have faith that there is a higher power, a God who is greater than us. I just choose not to get caught up on titles because they tend to cause divisiveness. I enjoy listening to and relating to people with positive energy. We, in a place that is literally built on negativity, tend to underestimate the infectious power of positivity. Each and every day, I seek out my own "happy place" and acknowledge the many things that I am grateful for and what I have to look forward to.
