Robert Sauser is 33 years old and incarcerated in Texas, USA

Sometimes the wrong choices bring us to the right places. Life is like photography, you need the negatives to develop. I’m going to be released within the next year, maybe less. I’m interested in getting to know like-minded individuals that can help me build lasting friendships. I have many years behind the line in a couple of high-end restaurants in and around Washington DC. On my days off I would volunteer at DC Central kitchen feeding the homeless and teaching volunteers basic culinary skills while they helped prepare meals for DC’s homeless.

My dream is to open up a couple of restaurants and to be able to give back to my community by opening youth centers designed to teach kids how to work together by teaching them the necessary skills to thrive in high-pressure situations in and outside of the kitchen. Through these youth centers I hope to bring peace and stop inner-city violence against our youth by giving them the tools they need to be able to work through their problems, serve their community and eat together in peace at the same dinner table.
