Robert is 49 years old. He was 17 years old when he was arrested, convicted and sentenced to 50 years to life for crimes he did not commit. The criminal justice system has had its knee on his neck for 32 years and counting and he feels as if he can not breathe! Yet he is still fighting to be released and to clear his name.
He is a very open minded, easygoing and fun loving person who is down to earth and far from perfect. He prides himself on being a good listener and enjoys a good conversation (sharing thoughts, ideas and dreams). He also enjoys watching sports, reading nonfiction and staying physically fit. His grandmother is his hero, may God bless her soul. Regardless of the circumstances, her quiet strength and her ability to keep the family together have always amazed him. It was not until she passed away that he realized and understood what her life meant to the family and how her shoes would be difficult to fill.
To be honest with you, he is lonely as hell. He has spent more than 30 years incarcerated without experiencing one of the most important things in life: true friendship love. Now that he has grown attitude wise and academically, he would like an opportunity to experience true friendship love with a woman. He prefers a down to earth, open minded and caring woman who can enrich his soul and his spirit and who can understand his struggle for freedom.
