Hi... I'm Shaun.

I'm here looking for a woman who's interested in building a friendship which may develop into something more. I'm 43 years old, 5'8", 160 pounds, and medium build. I drink socially and don't smoke. I've been single for some time now and I'm at a point in my life were I'd like to focus on finding someone to share life with and build a meaningful relationship. It won't be easy but nothing in life worth having is easy. Is having companionship any different?

I'm not looking for someone who's perfect; I don't believe anyone is, especially me. I carry an ugly past that I can't hide or make disappear. But I've learned from it and refuse to let it define who I am today. We all make mistakes; it's part of living life and our failures help us be better people. I get along with people though I have my good and bad days like everyone else. I've become very comfortable in my own skin. I'm confident in my abilities and believe I can make the rest of life successful.

I like listening to music while thinking or working on a project. I don't really have any favorite song or artist I just listen to what sounds good at the moment. Some of the artist's I like are: Nine Inch Nails; Marilyn Manson; Tom McDonald; and NF. I like the outdoors and cannot wait to go fishing and hunting again. When I have free time I either exercise with weights, practice martial arts (I'm belted in Tang soo do) or catch up on the TV shows. Some of the best I've watched so far is: 'See; Power; Altered Carbon and The Last Kingdom. l am honest with myself and to others. I'm loyal to a fault and strive to be reliable. I do my best to treat everyone with respect because I never know what someone is going through.

Unfortunately, I'm incarnated in Georgia. I was charged with felony murder along with several friends after a man was shot during the commission of a separate felony. I was 19 at the time and didn't think, let alone comprehend the consequences of my actions. I'm looking forward to a parole hearing that's coming up soon. I remain optimistic that I'll be granted parole by the board within the next few years, and I can build a future.

During my time inside I have worked on myself mentally and spiritually. I've learned skills to help me make my transition back to society. I'm close to finishing my degree which has been a goal of mine for a while. My 5- and 10-year plans are drawn up and I'm ready to get started. I am looking forward to closing this chapter of my life, it has been much longer than it should've. Starting fresh is something I've wanted for some time, and who knows maybe I can start it with someone special.

I know some will just swipe left after reading about my crime. I want you to know I'm not offended at all.... I understand that it can be hard to deal with someone who has been convicted for an act of violence. I want you to know it's okay. I hope you find what completes you in life wherever you go. For the one that decides to stay. I want you to know that if you're patient and keep an open mind as we go forward; I promise getting to know me will be worth the time and effort.
