Opening yourself up to any new outlet is scary in itself. With this being said, here I go anyway... Hello.
My name is Tasha Mercedez Shelby, I'm 45 years old. I have been wrongfully convicted, incarcerated, and fighting for my innocence for 23 years. My case is currently in the Mississippi Court of Appeals. During the long wait for this portion of my journey, I would welcome new friendships. To be clear, I am in no way looking for help with attorneys and/or my case. I have the Innocence Project along with a team of lawyers who represent me. I simply just want good company.
It's been some time since I've enjoyed letters, conversations, or insight from the opposite sex. I have spent my time wisely over these years working and taking advantage of furthering my education through a Prison-to-Pipeline college program.
That being said I would genuinely enjoy intellectual stimulation. I am quite a serious woman but know when not to be. I love to laugh, (especially at myself) and at 4'9 1/2", have occasionally been described as a bit of a fireball. I love being outdoors, listening to all kinds of music, looking at the moon, and remembering the ocean.
If you would be willing to learn more about me I would like to hear from those of you open to accepting my current circumstances without judgment and getting to know you as well.
Until then, live, love, and let be.
