Paragon

2003 was definitely the year

A precious jewel entered my realm invoking fear

Like non before nor since, radiating life unknowingly

We grew up, temporarily going our separate ways

Times without her are substandard, cloudy, a haze

Fooled myself saying, “These other broads love me”

While ignoring her who put none but God above me

Asinine me attempting to overlook her gravitational pull

Eventually realizing we without her is a mechanic without tools

10 years later falsehood fizzles at keeping us apart

Her love is true, it makes me smile with my heart

Through the ups and downs her love for me has remained

Which grew so strong it can’t be contained

This is the true love every man dreams to come upon

A precious jewel whose love is paragon
