Greetings from Guru’s Laboratory…
I woke up today and the guy passing out breakfast trays happened to ask how I was feeling this morning. Without thinking about it I answered, “Great!”
His reply was, “Yeah, right!”
You know, whenever I meet a new person in my life one of the first things they ask me is how I can be so outgoing and optimistic when I have all this time. I guess it’s obvious through my conversation that I haven’t been jaded by my environment.
The way I see it is that I am the architect of my reality. So it’s up to me to capitalize off all the positive opportunities I’m given. Through JPAY I can text back ‘n forth with people. That gives me a chance to cultivate relationships. College gives me knowledge. And my publisher gives me a platform to express myself both intellectually and artistically.
Another aspect about life that I keep at the forefront of my mind is that prison walls really don’t exist. I can still make memories. I can still make a difference. Plus, the fact that I can actually text people directly from my tablet levels the playing field drastically. Don’t you agree?
Look, y’all, I can see the world changing. Take it from me, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. So, search for your glow and use that shine to guide you into the best of times!
