My name is Rakim. I’m 31 years old and I’m looking to build a new diverse network of friends. I enjoy reading, listening to music and being outside in the open air. I wake up every day with a positive and optimistic outlook on life. Due to my healthy mind, body and spirit, I strive to be a better person that I was yesterday. Therefore stepping out of my comfort zone and changing my cognitive function has been vital to my overall rehabilitation while incarcerated. I’ve learned new hobbies and crafts such as my favorite, being a barber. Over these last 6 years, I’ve become really good. I’ve also joined a R.E.A.C.H. program where we rehabilitate, educate and create, hope for at risk teens in our local communities.
My new mission is adding substance to my life and allowing my light to shine and illuminate the light in those I encounter. Life’s experiences, good and bad have taught me that we wouldn’t be who we are today had we not gone through what we did. Every goal, hobby, craft and relationship when pursued with love, passion and persistence will build a durability to overcome any obstacle. I’m open to most topics of discussion despite race, genders and sexual orientation.
I look forward to building new friendships full of substance, light, honesty and respect. Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you soon.
