My name is William. As a teenager I made bad choices that effectively destroyed my life. My family is wonderful and I would have gone to college if I had not decided to become a criminal. Writing helped me find myself after my arrest and I was fortunate enough to have an essay published in Reed magazine in 2016. Since then, I’ve been an active participant in The Pen Prison Writing Program and they have selected my work for recognition 5 times in various categories in as many years.

The purpose of this is to “meet” new people. Sure, it would be amazing to make a connection with an agent to represent my books, but all I’m looking for is to exchange letters with those who share my interests.

Some topics to write/ask about: Fantasy and Science Fiction, Philosophy of Ethics, Space and Technology, Religion-positives and negatives, Anime and Nihongo and writing and drawing.

I’d be happy to read about anything you’re going through. Letter writing has been a powerful therapeutic tool for me, contributing to my self-knowledge and helping me come to terms with bipolar disorder. With everything that’s going on in the world, if you just need to vent, I’m here for you.
