SHE MADE THEM RISE
I went from chilling with the Trap Queens,
And eating chili fries
Now I'm building with PCAP Queens
Check out my twist on "Still I Rise."
It was the Queen Maya Angelou who spit these words,
That touched every princess to the ghetto to the burbs.
So I had to take a second look to try to surmise,
How her words ring eternal even after her dismiss.
Blinded by male domination this point I missed,
til this Lik PCAP Queen said, "Black look at this!"
My mind opened when I saw her soul thru her eyes,
now I see the wisdom of "Still I Rise."
Now I truly understand a woman's worth.
Is it a birth canal or teleportation device,
that brings the soul upon this earth.
Even my College Queen said to my surprise,
Black love is about stepping off into the unknown
not just about your size.
Nevertheless, she makes me rise.
They may inflict petty harassment, tell PCAP lies,
but they step into the room of truth and become mesmerized..
They may send them bad vibes, try to make them cut ties.
But like Thelma & Louise in their youth they're wise.
So sit back relax kick off your shoes,
and give ole Dark Black a chance to chase away your blues.
Don't think I'm charming? I've got 10 more homies you can choose.
But let's not forget what we came here to do,
pay homage to the Mighty Maya Angelou!
I would like to thank the anonymous person who credited my account with $20 so that I could express myself from these Dismal Crypts.
5 Seconds Of Affection
5 seconds of affection,
Is all I need.
If I can’t get it at least let my pen bleed.
5 seconds, for 5 loosers or 5 suitors,
We hang on to your every word.
Eye contact takes 1 second.
Parting of the lips to speak takes 2.
3 seconds for me to nod my head,
I’m on the same page as you.
4 seconds deep into the conversation,
Others began to feel left out,
Now my 5 seconds are up,
You must spread your attention evenly about.
Thank God for Mr. Thompson,
He sets the agenda like a colonel.
While I just sit frozen,
5 seconds of affection are eternal.
Daydreaming about the dynamics of a workshop I wrote this poem. How can I best express myself now? Can I write the next Harry Potter book, but there is important information that needs to get out. Should I:
(A) Post an Afro-American Epic for kids? Or
(B) Write an expose called, “Here’s how they mass incarcerate”. Through the internet I discovered over a hundred years of case law and statutes with no case law to refute the fact that I’m illegally incarcerated.
(C) Share some of my innovative ideas for ingenious mechanisms. Some of which could prove to enhance our lives and contribute to our universal well being.
(D) My dream job create “The Positive News Show”.
Please give me feedback on which way to go. (A), (B), (C) or (D). You can contact me on jpay.com. Project will start as soon as I figure out how to get some purchase credits. All is well.
