The Catch of My Dreams
In my dreams I kiss her on the lips and hold her in my arms. She would dare to call me a thief by the way I steal her heart. If I could whisper in here ear, I’d say always love and never fear. If I could stare into her eyes while holding both her hands I would open up my heart and know she understands. If she were to shed her diamond tears, I would wipe them from here eyes. Though dreams bring us together, a working part of me has died. Miracles can rescue shattered dreams and heal happy recovery. Love’s music can heal two broken hearts and twist their bliss together. And it proves that dreams do come true through the stormiest of weather. For I know that it’s my fault and I’m to blame. But if loving her must hurt, then I’ll find comfort for the pain. A bullet’s wrath tried to challenge my dreams and I thought that I might die. But what would hurt much worse is if I didn’t say goodbye. The boy in me did her wrong, this maturing man must make it right. And if loving here is a crime, they can sentence me to life.
