My name is Edwin Torres. I'm 48, straight, single, and Puerto Rican. I am outgoing, have a sense of humor, and am optimistic. This is my first time incarcerated, and that's all it takes. I made bad choices in my early years, and there's not one day that I don't regret the pain I have caused due to my past actions. I try not to dwell in the past, but it's hard to forget. In 36 months, I'll be home with my family to spend quality time with them and to give back to my community as well as others. Especially to help, guide, and give awareness to troubled youths and young adults about the consequences of criminal behavior, peer pressure, the value of education, bullying, gangs, and that being in the streets doesn't offer anything good. Been there, and I know my story can help change the way an adolescent thinks. Well, that's the goal anyway.
