No Mail

2 letters on Sunday. How did you do that? POSTAL ALERT - PRICE INCREASE to make up for sunday delivery!!!! LOL

Ha, I mean't on tuesday I got 2 letters. I lost a day somewhere.. too many days off thanks for catching that

This holiday must have messed things up. I usually get a letter every three days, from one PP, and I haven't gotten anything since Saturday. Working class American is going to hate me when I petition to ban all holidays. :-))

Xray I am sad for the both of us, I miss getting a letter and since I write to both of pp so much I now have to play catch up.That is wait on them to reply to me.. I am sad boo hoo:(

I didn't want to post this because I feel like such a putz but I've been cranky all day because it usually takes 8-9 days for me to get mail from my pp's & today was day 9 & I HAVE NO MAIL.I feel so silly but sadly I've gotten used to the timing issue & look forward to their correspondance.

Hmmm, I haven't received any letters this week either, and that's unusual...me thinks there might be a conspiracy going on about (he says as he looks over his shoulder for BIG BROTHER!)

Xray...you can call for a ban of all the holidays you want...but it's gonna be awfully hard to hear you, seeing how you'll be bunking with Jimmy Hoffa when you decide to start this little campaign of yours! lol

Actually it sounds like this "no mail" thing may be centered in Mich. I just talked to someone in Oregon, who got seven letters this week. How lucky can ya get?? :-)

Seven letters Xray what is up with that? Ok Michigan what's going on with the mail system? I miss my new friends and I am lonely and want to talk to them. Omg I am sound like a addict ha,ha. I just know that just as I got use to getting something other then the dreaded bills something would take it away. Oh well two more days for mail this week.

This is a young lady who must write to 25 or 30 guys. She's not even sure, herself, because she never know who is going to write back. LOL
As far as talking to your PP, I have sent my phone number to my PP and invited her to call collect. Any day, now, would be perfect. :-)

Eight to nine days? Where in the world is your PP writing from, China? :-) That sounds like a world record, to me. I didn't even think it was that bad in South Africa.

My new pp is like 10 minutes from me-same town .No mail from him as of Thursday......gosh darnit

It sounds like something is going on. I'm going to call my congresslady. I wonder what time she gets up. No! I'm going to call her now!! :-))

OK it's early and all ready I am waiting on the mail. I have to go to my own private prison in a few minutes but as soon as 4:30 pm rolls around I am doing the mad dash to the post office. As I put my key into the box I will open it slowly, trying to tell myself you got mail secretly so that the other's don't know that I am insane. I hope that I have a couple of letters if so I will skip to my car and drive to my home where I will light my reading candle and sit on the floor in my room and take in all that my friends have to offer me.

Xray both my pp's are in the FABULOUS (insert sarcasm) state of Texas. I sent 2 letters out last tuesday & it has always taken a round trip of 8-9 days for their replies.If none come today my 16 yr old daughter told me she would take me out to dinner & a movie to temporarily shut me up:)

I usually get three letters a week...LA to NY usually takes 3 days from when we mail them...on Tuesday I got 3 from him and no more, yet. I in the same boat I am on high alert for the mail man!

I GOT Mail!!!! ok the letter has May 28 on it and it was post marked on May 31. So one pp down waiting on my other one and yes I am greedy ... come on guys I waiting on you. And I got 4 pages... I am a little happy but of course I have already written him back so the waiting will begin again.

Alloradun, I didn't realize that you were talking round trip. One of my PPs is in Texas, also, and it takes her letters 4 days to get to MI.

I don't know if it's because I sent her a map, a compass and a rope, or not. Some of those mail room folks, just can't take a joke.

Today is Saturday and I just watching the time go very slow. I don't know what time they issue the mail at the po box but i can't wait to see if I have a present in my box. Hey do you guys think it's too early to send out Father's Day cards to my guys. And my one guy has a birthday coming up. Wow I guess I have to go and buy a few cards.

In my town, they put the 'box' mail in first each morning, then go on the routes. I bet by the time you go to buy a few cards and come back, you'll have mail :)

Thankfully on friday I got mail, he wrote 8 pages & kept apologizing for his "book", which was really sweet.So I'll be calm for another 8 days & then turn wacky again:)

Hi guys, I got mail on saturday from my special guy only 3 pages long. I wondering if he is getting tired of writing. But check this out I got a letter from a new pp I sent him an email via the site one May 15 and I had forgot all about him. He is in PA and the letter was post marked on June 1 ok now he didn't put a stamp on it which I think is different. It has a stamp like a machine put it on there. Do you think he doesn't have stamps and is using the prison issued stamps? for people with no money or something?

p.s. Xray did you get any mail yesterday? I am curious

If there isn't anything, on Monday, I am packing my bag and driving over there. It is 8 hours, each way, but it will be worth it. I'm sure that things have probably come to a halt for my PP, too, and she is wondering, as much as I. I am just hoping that it is OK for me to drop in unannounced. I have never visited, before, so I don't know if they have to be scheduled or not.

As far as the mechanical stamp, from Pennsylvania. It is from a postage meter. All of my PPs letters come with that. I think that the state probably charges their account, for the postage. Probably for the ink, too. :-)

Alas Xray...I too am mailless in Kansas City, seems the "Mail God" has frowned up you and I. I personally will scarific a "virgin" stamp for the both of us, in hopes it will make peace with the "almighty entity" (US Post Office), then maybe he will allow us to receive a fruitful crop of letters once more...

On a side note, some facilities make inmates buy prepaid/stamped envelopes instead of them separately (stamps and envelopes), don't know why, but some do.

I live in the Rosedale district/area, although KCKs (Wyandotte County) isn't a big area land wise, we are the most populated county per square mile than any other county in Kansas, Wyandotte is the smallest county in KS. How long has your brother been living here, and what part is he in?

I did!!! Three letters, written May 26, 29,June 1, and all post marked June 3rd. What a relief! I was just getting ready to organize my army to storm the bastille and take my PP away. :-)

Congrats Xray see now you have plenty of mail for a day or so huh. If your like me I read them then write them back the same day and then the wait continues. Now that I have 3 pp's I have to start going to my po box every other day now. My one pp told yesterday to start checking it every day...

I feel lucky....i get mail everyday although NOT from my special pal. The only day of the week I don't hear from him is on Tuesdays. Then again, i write a lot of people.

I speak to my pals family at least once a week. We have formed a close bond with one another. It's a good thing knowing the family ;)

I got a letter today , I only got 2 letters this week one on monday and then one today.

Shell & Skye I am not sure my guys have told their family about me but it would be a nice, I would love to get to know them

Shell, i speak with my PP's mom often and we have grown quite close. It's so much fun! Makes you feel even closer to your PP doesn't it??!!

Still no mail, but I've solved the problem once and for all...I welded the lid shut this morning, nothing going out, and nothing coming in, just the way I like it.
