Hi everyone,

i'm hoping you can help me please. I have never done this before and I've sent a JPay email to an inmate in California correctional.
I know it takes a long time to hear back , but I'm just wondering, if I should have included my address in the email?
I half assumed it might already be in there when it's sent (which was wrong), and my inmate doesn't have the prepay option.
am I right I'm thinking he will have to reply to me via snail mail, and therefore will need my address?
Has anyone sent to There before and know how they work?
Thank you in advance.

So if it's any of the above facilities, I'd say it's a safe bet to send your pen pal your mail address so they can reply to you.

Hi,

There are a few facilities with California Correctional - do you mean California Correctional Center, California Correctional Institution, or California City Correctional facility?
This might help you, if you click on the facility it can tell you how many kiosks or what services are available in each prison.
All of the above facilities only say sending money and email (incoming mail - there's a separate box for outgoing email).

If you're overseas and your PP snail mails you your reply, then you could be waiting any number of weeks. It's very unpredictable right now. Europe seems to get US mail a bit quicker than I do in NZ, and the more remote you are the longer you probably have to wait. It could be a week, it could be 2 months, or if you're like me, it could be 13 weeks. Really just luck of the draw it seems
