Hi there,
I have a PP at CVSP and I'm wondering how the mail is going there now, is it slow or how is it this time of year? I got a card from him on December 20th, a very special card actually, little more different something than usual. And I sent a letter reply and a card on December 21st. I still haven't got any reply from him and tomorrow it will be 6 weeks since I sent it. I live outside of the USA, ususally it takes 3 weeks (give or take 1-2 days) from the time I send a reply and till I get his reply... and tomorrow its been half as long. Is this normal after the Holiday season or how is it? This is my first PP and we get along great! And nothing in his other cards or letters indicates anything about not wanting to write anymore, it's actually seriously complete opposite of that. He ususally replies propmptly after getting my letters, like 2-3 days after getting my letter he writes and sends his... Have there been any troubles at CVSP lately or what can this be?

How is the mailroom and USP at this time of year in CVSP and California??? I'm not familiar with the USA and CA mail services and such. Everyday that passes and no replay coming through my door makes me more sad with every passing day...

Yeah, hope it's not lost. I will send again, thank you

It could be a typical Holiday season issue, in December mail service is not running well and often mail does not arrive, gets misplaced or lost or whatever. I had the same with my PA pen pal, in December he sent me a letter and a card and I never received them. I sent a Christmas card to my TX pal and he didn't receive it either. I would just send another card or a short note to ask what's up. Maybe your pen pal is wondering what's going on too.

Yeah. This is just unusual for him like I said

I think sometimes the inmates themselves just don't have time to respond. I have not noticed a really consistent reply time, and I'm in the U.S., so mail anywhere in the country takes less than a week. The first inmate I wrote to didn't reply for 2 months. Another one replied after 10 days.
