I want to contact him but it's getting complicated because I don't have stamps in jpay so I just wanted to let him know my interest in meeting him, I saw that he has a long sentence to serve but I have no problem to know more about him despite that, have any of you already had messages with him?

Hey Sina221, I'm really interested un starting a correspondence with a prisoner but I'm waiting to get started.  Can you tell me how a correspondence is going? What can we say in our letters? And since you have experience, does the correspondence with a prisoner last over time? I would really like to build a strong friendship with someone. Thank you for your answer!

I have written with him :) But he has to answer in snail mail. I also sent snail mail :) Was pretty straight forward include his correct inmate number and dont forget to put your address inside so he can answer.

Hi Maggie

You can contact him: write a letter, put a stamp on it and send it. Make sure everything is as required (meaning envelope, letter, your address, as well as his address and #. Or he won't get it and therefore can't send you an answer.)

In his profile, he mentions JPay only works one way (you to him). So, he HAS to response with snail mail anyway. Which he can only do, if you provided your address.
If you contacted them (in regards to your other post/request) with the email option WAP provides: That is for INITIAL CONNTACT ONLY. (a 1 time deal per inmate) WAP will print your letter and send it with snail mail.

Please keep in mind, it's not nice for them to get a letter and then you "disappear", never to be heard from again. Think, what kind of communication you want do establish, e.g. snail mail or the email provider the State has a contract with (like JPAY, CorrLinks, Securus, etc.) You'll need to put funds into your account to be able to write, no matter the provider. Some are a nightmare to fund, if your not stateside.

Communication from/to a inmate is not something instant, like you know from your daily life. It takes time but is rewarding in it's own beautiful way. And time is what most inmates have...

As for passing on your message. Maybe sort out your mailing situation before you try to involve even more people - you haven't even established a penpal-ship with the person.

Best of luck.
