Mental Health within the prison system

Hello! My name is Chandra and I am fixing to enter into my master's degree program this coming fall, studying Social Work with a highlight in Clinical Therapy. I am currently a Recovery Support Specialist, working with recovering addicts in an outpatient clinic. After working with the public, specifically in mental health and drug addiction, I have found a drive to help those who go unheard or unseen throughout our judicial system. I also know how much mental health is down played in our society. I am here to connect with anyone who just feels like they need to be heard or who would be willing to open up and speak with me about their experiences/mental health struggles. I am a childhood SA victim and I know depression, anxiety and PTSD all too well.
