Hey guys,

I got a letter this afternoon from my prisoner who is on death row, unfortunately snail mail is a little expensive for me as a waitress already trying to manage food and rent, but in his letter, he mentioned that because I first emailed from the UK, I could find him on Jpay and contact him there.

I have typed in the prisoner number about 3 times and he isn't on it, does this mean he has been executed?

The US system is very difficult to the UK one, so I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if he has been released or executed, and I am a little worried.

Could someone help?

It might be you haven't put enough numbers in. First search for him at his State Doc and check your SID/No.
The reason I say this is sometimes you need to add some 000's to the beginning.
Good luck.

Hi,

It's not likely he's been executed, there can be decades between sentencing and execution and a prisoner gets notified way in advance when the execution date is set. Execution doesn't happen from one day to the next. Parole or release don't happen overnight either, so I guess your pen pal is still there but I don't know why you can't find him on Jpay.

Where is your pen pal incarcerated? The rules vary from state to state so maybe someone who knows about your pen pals state will be able to tell you more.
