Hey Chety, by snail mail only for starters.
You’ll want to make sure you have the right address – the BOP is notorious for transfers. Start at https://www.bop.gov/ and go to Inmates > Find an Inmate. You can search by name or register number. Click on the facility name and scroll down to the Inmate Mail section. There you’ll find the proper format for addressing letters. Make sure your name and return address are on the envelope too.
Heads up that many (but not all) BOP facilities restrict incoming mail to 5 pages max., single-sided only. Some allow 10 pages. Some allow more. You’ll have no way of knowing beforehand unless you call the facility and ask, or ask your bud. If you feel like wonking out, you can read their Policy on Correspondence (which is way out of date re: the 5-page, single-sided thing).
And then… write!!! Make sure you use white paper, and don’t add stickers, tape, colored pencil, hacksaw blades, and so on. Best wishes :-)
