Hi all,

So I have used Corrlinks to regularly email some of my penpals for the last year.  Everything has worked smoothly most of the time.

About a month or two ago, I deleted my WAP account due to forum shenanigans.  I then changed my mind, and signed up again - but with a different email, due to not being allowed the same email as before.  That original email is also what I use for Corrlinks.

Anyway, I then emailed an inmate using the WAP email feature - in my email, I included my Corrlinks email address.  Fast forward a little, and I get a Corrlinks request to my different email from this inmate.  The only way to accept it, was to create a new Corrlinks account with this email.  So I have done that.

Is this even allowed? It just seems so confusing and a bit of a fuck-up.  I would much rather my penpals to be connected to the one Corrlinks account.  I'm unsure as to why this Corrlinks request came to my new WAP email, instead of the Corrlinks email address I included with my initial message to her.

Anyway, has this happened to anyone else? Is there any way to somehow merge Corrlinks account, or get this new penpal onto my other Corrlinks?

Any help or advice much appreciated!

Andrea, your post is probably best for its own thread... ANYWAY... with regard to records.

  1. RECORDS:

    1. The following forms will be used and maintained in the inmate's visiting folder:

      1. (1)  An official inmate visiting list with the inmate's current photograph attached.

      2. (2)  Notice of visiting violation.

    2. Inmate Visitor's Sign-In Logs: The visitors will be required to sign in at the time of their arrival, and enter the name of the inmate to be visited in an official sign-in logbook. The Front Lobby Officer will maintain the visitor log, ensuring it is filled out properly.

    3. Notification to Visitor Form: Each visitor, age 16 and older, will fill out the notification to visitor form. The Visiting Room Officer will collect the completed forms and forward them to the SIS office at the end of each visiting day. The completed forms will be kept on file for one year.

    4. Incident Entry Logs: An incident log will be maintained on each incident of misconduct occurring in the visiting rooms. A one-time warning will be given and logged in the book, showing the inmate's name, number, visitor, and infraction. If a second incident occurs, a log entry will be made, the visit terminated, and an incident report written.

I don't see how or why you would have a reason to access the visitor log though...

Is there any way you can find out if you're inmate has been getting weekend visits?
Fci Dublin...public visitors log ?

Hey mate,

Nope, it hasn't happened to me, but then I didn't delete my account, I just walked away from here because I realised there are other more important things going on, and sometimes this place makes you more paranoid than you should be about certain things. There is also the temptation to get involved in other people's bullshit here. Sorry that response doesn't really help.

Unfortunately, being approved for Corlinks involves having the email account approved at both ends, including by the prison counsellor on the inside. The fuck-up has happened on this end, but I'm not sure what to do other than suggest that your inmate gets in touch with the prison counsellor on the inside to tell them you've updated your email address. Then you will have to wait for a new approval from the powers that be, and also a new link to connect with them.

Best of luck.
