Hello everyone. I've been a member now for four days. Somehow a documentary lead me to this website and after scrolling I came across the most interesting bio. I knew then that I would follow through and choose this person as my pen pal. The issue is, in that time frame, I've written a letter a day. My PP is in a Texas facility, Polunsky to be exact and so he cannot reply by email through JPAY. The other issue is I live in Dubai and the mailing system here is unreliable. I'm worried that if my PP responds, it'll just get lost in the mail. In my mind, he is already so interesting and appreciative of the communication and for me it's therapeutic. I feel a bit selfish though, because I don't want to inundate him with correspondences if it's going to be a bother. So again, is a letter a day considered excessive and will it pose the risk of them taking away his letter privileges? Any feedback will be helpful as I have only four days of experience☺️ Thanks in advance!!

I appreciate your take on things. And, thank you for the JMail info!

Everyday is not excessive, especially because your letters will take time to reach him. I sometimes send out 2 letters a day to my husband. His mail privileges won't be revoked because of your letters.

You might want to look into Jmail - a snail mail to email service (for you; the inmate would send and receive snail mail). I've never used it, but some of the international folks on here swear by it. Re: a letter a day, it happens, but I'd hold off until I heard something back first. Best wishes!
