I recently had something sent back to me, after a period of almost 2 months, and the reason was because the envelope I used was not plain white. This has never happened to me before, I must coincidentally have written primarily to the states who don't care about colored envelopes, as I've been writing for a fair amount of time and to many states over that time. I haven't had much returned to me having not gotten through, so this is a new experience for me.

I've been thinking about possible reasons, the only thing that occurs to me is they could possibly extract the color to make tattoo ink, is that it or am I missing something??? I'm just curious to know why colored envelopes are such a big deal compared to white ones??? I might have the answer, but if anyone can give me other reasons, I'd love to hear them!

It is because mail has been known to be laced with the liquid, synthetic drug. K-2 is an easily manipulated drug and plain white paper makes it easier for prison inspectors to see if they paper has been soaked in something.
