Hi friends,

Just wondering, had some talk to my dear belgian WAP friend Karin, and she was complaining that she still had not received an answer by one of her good pals. She feels bad, and I guess a bit sad and angry about it.
I have the same feeling, when one of my preferable pals doessen't write me for a long time, I feel sad.

Are we just emotional or does other WAP-ers have the same feelings, are you sad and feeling left out when you don't receive an answer by your favourite PP.

Let me know how you feel.

Well Micky it depends,,a few of my pals have moved on to other relationships so the writing has fallen off,,what gets me is they never tell me ,,thinking I might be sad,,,not the case!! I want them to have the best. So when they write me telling me "O I been busy working on my case"
Babi->"Not you haven't,,you busy caught up with another female,,stop tryin to play Babi,,game recognize game and its all good" Ok too much slang right there but you get my point.
i think writing men in jail can be cyclical,,there are the ups and downs,,the highs and the lows,,you just got to ride the wave.

Yes, Micky, we have all been in that position. It is not always the fault of the PP. The mail room checks thousands of pieces of mail and they get behind in their delivery. I am get mail out of sequence all the time. As mentioned, I think pp have their priorities in terms of who they write first...and so do we. It is the special pp that plays our emotions when they don't write.

My pal and I always have several letters go back and forth, so usually I have a couple of letters lying around here that needs to be answered. But when I don't hear from him for a while, I slowly get into a funk. It's funny how he will be sending me tons of mail when I'm slacking off.

Anyway, I asked for contact addresses a looooong time ago, so if I don't hear from him in a really long time, I can always contact his family and ask them what's up and let them know I ain't receiving his letters. Kind of a back-up plan, after I once heard the story of a female who's letters were sent back to her after her pp got into some trouble and he was writing her asking if something was up as he hadn't heard from her? I never wanted to be in that situation, so that's why I asked for contact addresses :-)

But yeah, not hearing from your pp truly sucks!

I always feel glad and happy when I get mail from any of my pals, but at the same time, I know that many of them are going thru 'transition stages' - two have moved prisons, one is about to go to a work release centre and another has just been moved to a sort of work release centre to get her ready for her release, and another is going thru pretty bad depression at the moment and another is also having a pretty rough time of things right now, so I know not to get stressed or upset when i don't hear from them for a while. But yes, it does suck not hearing from them here and there...

My special PP and I write once a week now, cus there was a time a letter from him went missing and I didn't hear from him for over 3 weeks - I was going insane!!

One of my other pals is being released next July. He doesn't write as often as he used to - do you think it may be because he is looking forward to his release and maybe not spending as much time writing to his pen pals?

Thanks Micky!!!! :-))))

Well, today I am happy again, I did receive two letters from him ... 36 pages!

I am fighting the feelings of being sad, and so on (and a bit angry when I feel left out), but sometimes I just cannot help it. Anyway, I have been writing him letters every week, so, normally we should have a steady flow now. :-)))

Thanks Micky!!!

Hi Guys,

Nice to see so many close friends here responding to the topic, i am happy that it is not just us, feeling sad and left out LOL.
From most pp's i know they have it difficult to send out letters, especially because it is overseas, so the postage is far more expensiver then inner-usa.
Also postrooms are a cause of delays, or are returning your letters after 5 weeks, when they think that you not comply with their regulations on inmate-post, but I always try to do my best, to make sure that they are OK.

Guess we just care for our pp's, and they become a part of our lives, which is a good thing, at least it works for me.

Wish you all the best out there, and keep sending those letters.

Greetings to you all from Belgium.
