Does anyone have any information about a class action lawsuit moving forward against LOMPOC?

And so, the inmates and officers agree. How often does that happen?!?

I tip my helmet to you for getting legislators involved. Wardens (and others up the ladder) kind of hate that... though I think it's perfect... and just.

@ST4s I showed you my husband's papers concerning the mishandling of the pandemic. The only elected official to help my husband is Senator Ben Cardin from my state because he and I share a couple of mutual friends. Yes, I agree the numbers online are not matching up with the numbers actually occurring inside the prisons. In my support group, we've all been comparing notes on how many are listed and how many our husbands are telling us otherwise.

No clue, Northern, but I’ve stumbled across articles in the not-too-distant past where the Officers’ Unions at various federal facilities have brought cases against the BOP for their botched handling of the pandemic – unsafe workplace, not enough personal protective equipment, bad policies, things like that. I haven’t followed up since my buds weren’t/aren’t at the facilities in question.

I can tell you I’ve been comparing notes with one of my buds in the BOP. He says the case counts advertised on their Covid page (that I’ve relayed to him) are far below what he’s seeing on the ground. I can also tell you one of my buds is a class member in another class action lawsuit at different BOP facility. Same reasons as the officers' cases.

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with this specific case.

But it's insane how some facilities handle the pandemic. My pal (vaccinated and boosted) told me they have two positive cases on his pod and lot's of sick (untested) ones that are walking around, use the phones and eat with each other. Not that he is keen for a lockdown. But when they finally start testing and go on lockdown the air in there will be full of the virus.

However regarding LOMPOC: Most court related files date back to 2020 till up to March 2021.
But I found this news paper articles from 6 hrs ago. Maybe it helps, looking further.

I hope all of you, your friends, family and LO stay safe.
