Corrlinks video while overseas

I'm having problems with this... I'm trying to video chat with a friend in Minnesotta in a BOP facility. I have tried the usual process unfortunately where I am right now it's a ping issue. All of my other things pass on the configuration but unfortunately without passing all of the tests on Corrlink video it wont let you proceed. Other than rescheduling I don't really know what to do with this issue. I contacted technical support and they were less than helpful stating it would basically not be possible from where I am right now. I'm just wondering whether anyoe had tips and advice with using Corrlinks video while overseas.
